Using a Text Link Extractor in Cross-browser Testing
A text link extractor can be useful if you're doing cross-browser testing. For example, if you're writing tests for moderating comments or forum posts, then a common action that you need to do is find all links in the comments and posts and check if they are allowed. With this program, you can prepare such test cases. You can feed this program several different text fragments or multi-line strings and the program will return all links in them. You can then use the extracted links as the expected output results for the tests. Another use case is using this utility to simply extract all URLs from the given HTML code.
