Using a Random MAC Address Generator in Cross-browser Testing
A random Media Access Control (MAC) address generator can be useful if you're doing cross-browser testing. For example, if you're working on a network application, then you might have an input form that accepts a MAC address. In this case, you may want to write several test cases that check that the input is valid. You can use this program to generate multiple MAC addresses and then use them in the tests. You can also modify the generated MAC addresses by removing bytes from it or adding extra bytes to create invalid test cases. This utility can also be useful for creating a new MAC address of your router or network card. Additionally, you can treat a MAC address as a random 48-bit ID as it contains 12 hex symbols (12 hex nibbles).
