Using a String to UTF16 Converter in Cross-browser Testing
A string to UTF16 converter can be useful if you're doing cross-browser testing. For example, if your web application is encoding or decoding strings from the UTF16 encoding, then you can use this utility to create test cases for your application. The input data of a unit test will be a string, text, or data with Unicode characters and the output will be either two-byte or four-byte UTF16, or UCS-2 sequences, or code point sequences. Additionally, you can create JavaScript Unicode escape sequences (using the backslash-u escape code) and quickly check the byte values of the input data.
